Tigra Color Picker v1.1 - Documentation

Tigra Color Picker - Free JavaScript widget that makes it easy for your visitors to fill out color value field(s) by selecting the color from a popup palette. Script saves the time for those internet/intranet developers who need intuitive, easy to use client-side color input control.


Compatibility List

Tigra Color Picker can work with any browser capable of generic DHTML.
Script was successfully tested on Windows(95; 98/se; ME; 2000; XP), Macintosh and OS (8.6; 9), with these browsers:


Tigra Color Picker script consists of several files. This makes its maintenance easier and reduces network load.
Default distribution package contains:

Script files should be attached to HTML document with appropriate tags in header:

Document Setup

Tigra Color Picker is control for color selection that returns value in form field. Make sure your HTML document has valid form with some unique name and text field:

	<input type="Text" name="input0">

Add Color Picker call within HTML form at the place where you want it to appear.

Note: The form name, input control name may be replaced with your values. If you change those names don't forget to change the names in Color Picker calling block.

Calling a Color Picker Function Prototype

Script call block dynamically creates pop-up window that contains color palettes. Pop-up method accepts up to two parameters:

Calling Example

To call a Color Picker with a Grey Scale Palette make a following call:
