Windows Server 2003 compatibility
Question
I am currently trying to migrate an application from a Windows XP platform to Windows Server 2003. This application uses your ASP Upload Component. It is not compatible with Server 2003. Do you have a product that is compatible or is there possibly a patch or workaround?
Answer
It's not the problem with ASP Upload Component, it's default permissions configuration problem. There are accounts specific to Server 2003 and IIS that do not exist when using IIS with XP. You need to add these accounts with appropriate rights to the Server 2003 setup.
The IUSR and IWAM accounts are both common to XP and Server 2003. However, there is a group called IIS_WPG in Server 2003 that must also
be configured. The permissions/configuration for these three accounts can differ depending on the environment you have or are wanting to establish.
