Unable to access the Control Panel (PHP Event Calendar)

I have installed the PHP event calendar successfully, but I am unable to access the control panel. This is the path I am using: /bwg_cal/cl_files/index.php

It installed fine, but Control Panel doesn't work. I get the logon screen and enter admin, demo. After that, whatever I click, it takes me back to the login form and it is blank.

I opened a tag two weeks before, staff replied me that can be a session problem but nothing else.
Again I opened a tag with ftp details.

This issue is holding up an entire project now.
Can someone help me out, please?
