Gradient Hover effect for newbie

How do you add a gradient background mouse over effect using free Tigra Menu. All I see on the Styles portion of the set up script is a single flat color.

The effect I need is used by the Tigra Menu on their example below:

Menu provides different CSS classes for normal and mouseover state. What you need to do is assign different background images with gradients to those two states.
