FrameSet -- Keep menu open

We have a frame set and we have implemented the menu into it correctly. We would like to be able to have the menu remain open (remove the onmouseevent that closes the menu) after an item is selected. We would also like to capture the onclick event anywhere else on the page and close all the menus at this point. Anyone have any direction on how to accomplish this?

Sorry. We have the GOLD product and not the PRO product, can an ADMIN move this to the appropriate forum and if this is even supported in GOLD product?
