Slow performance in IE

Check out the chugging performance of my gallery page in IE. In firefox or safari its slick. Obviously its crappy IE javascript performance and not tFaders fault but has anyone got any tips? Seems to be the size / number of the images that causes the chugging as I've not noticed it before with smaller slideshows.

Number of images may be the factor. I don't see this happening with the sample at our website.
