Not possible to open/close folder with + and -

Someone has already posted this problem but solution was not clear to me.

It is not possible to open and close a folder using the +/- icons. I get the error:
'trees is undefined'
and the URL is the page to link to.

Does anyone know what is going on here and how to fix this?

Thanks!

Make sure:
1. You haven't modified main script file
2. All formats of configuration files are correct
3. You have linked all files to your HTML document
4. You have initialized tree properly
5. You're opening page with browser listed in compatibility list

The problem is caused by some error in your configuration files. We wouldn't publish the tree menu script which can't open/close nodes.

Rollback to original files from the distribution package, make sure they work properly and start reconfiguring the script again checking if it still works after each modification.

Seems if there?s a script error in your main script file.
If you didn?t make heavy changes to your script, I would suggest you do what tigra told you.
Otherwise do the following:

At first search for the array "trees" in your script file. It should be at the bottom of the file as far as I remember.

If it is not present add somewhere outside a function: var trees=[];
Otherwise do the following:

Try to hide the content of modified functions (only the body, not the function itself) with comments and to access trees[0] in your html-script.
As soon as you don?t get your error again you know that there is an error in the hidden part of your script (which may be a forgotten semicolon or bracket)

You may try to cut&paste the line where "trees" is defined at the top of the page, however make sure to debug your script!

Or use Netscape Navigator, which has a nice debugging console telling you all the errors a bit more precise than IE.
I?m sure the real error happens before you try to open the node.

OK, problem's fixed. Thanks for the help!

I had a tag in my main script file, that seemed to throw a wrench in the works. Remove that and no problems.
