non-geek calendar set up instructions?

Hi there! I have searched through the forums, and tried following the provided instructions - but neither has succeeded in helping me to understand how to put this calendar on my web page. Please help!

The installation seemed to go ok after I moved the data folder out of the tmp folder and into the cl_files folder, before uploading the contents of the zip file to my server. Except the arrow button images on the demo calendars on the configuration page do not show.

So could someone please help me to make the button images show, and then walk me step-by-step, using non-technical terms, to post the calendar on a web page?

I've spent three days trying to figure this out, and I'm exhausted, frustrated, and desperate for some guidance.

After I get the calendar posted - I'd like to do the modifications that the member texasaggie posted to enable the user to click on the month to display the event list for that month, and click on the year to display the event list for the year. It was texasaggie's scout's calendar that got me interested in utilizing this specific script in the first place.

Thank-you much for any help offered - Mylnda (pronounced 'melinda').

OK - I solved how to get the arrow buttons to work. I downloaded the calendar.php file to my computer, and manually changed the images web path - it was incorrect, and then uploaded it to the server again.

Also - I figured out that in order to display the calendar, we must create a new php page and put the code in that's listed in the instructions (and in the 'Templates Config' tab of the calendar administration page) into this php page, which then needs to be uploaded to the server. I had been trying to put the code into an HTML page.

So, now I've just got some minor tweaking to do... Could anyone please assist me in making the calendar and events list display properly?

I'd like the calendar to be top and centered horizontally, and the events list to be below the calendar - also centered horizontally. Plus, the events list is not displaying properly - if you know what I need to do to fix this, please post a reply - in very simple step-by-step wording.

Thank-you very much! - Mylnda
