Installation problem with defining paths
I have all of the files on the server but have been unable to get past the install button. Regardless of what paths I type, and I have tried just
about every combination possible, the install button does nothing when pressed except keep me on the same screen.
After unpacking the files, I did have to create the data folder in the cl_files folder.
It is probably something very simple, but I am stumped and have spent way too much time trying to solve it.
Please help.
Thanks

I ended up putting my calendar on a separate subdomain of its own. It was the only way I could get it to install correctly

I am having the same problem! Pretty annoying I must say when you dont' get 2 seconds into the first install page and it fails. I'm going to try
it a few more times before I blow!

Exactly the same here - its a complete dead end with no hint on how to fix the problem.
Is no one from Soft Complex monitoring this thread?

same problem
I had the same problem until I changed the paths when the setup.php asked for them. I changed them to the full path for my hosting server
/home/lomadelu/public_html/eventcalendar/eventcalendar/cl_files/
I have two eventcalendar directories because I did not want to put the startup php files in my public_html directory.
The index.php would have overwritten my current index.php.
