OnMouseOver + Link Activation

I noticed that within each menu block, the mouse pointer must click on the link text itself to activate the link. This seems counter intuitive since the background color changes, and the mouse pointer changes form to indicate the presence of a link. That is, if you don't click on the text within a menu block, the link will not be activated. Is there any way to change this so that a user can just click in the menu block, and not necessarily on the text to activate the link?

I am not quite sure where did you experience this, but in all our dropdown menus whole menu item area is sensitive to mouse events. You can clearly see it in any product demonstration.
