Menu Builder for Windows v1.0.3 and Menu Gold

I downloaded Menu Builder for Windows v1.0.3. I was very pleased with how it worked.

In the menu bar under "Mode" I noticed that Menu Pro and Menu Gold were listed but dimmed out. After seeing that and doing some reading on the website, I bought Menu Gold thinking that it was either an upgrade or an add-on to Menu Builder.

To say my experience with Menu Gold is disappointing would be an understatement.

The Menu Gold packages appears to be little more than the demo pages from the SoftComplex website along with their accompanying js and css files.

The a??documentationa?? is for the lesser (and free) Tigra Menu v2.0 with only a passing mention (twice) of Menu Gold. No mention of how to a??migratea?? to it or implement it in any way.

Menu Builder has an import function. The website claims that you can a??import and modify existing Tigra Menu configuration hassle free.a?? Yet, I find it darkly humorous that at the bottom of the instructions to perform this "hassle free" import, you find the following message:

"Note: Your importing menu can be not error free. In this case you can see an error message, which indicates line number that contains error. The line number stays in square brackets. Find an error, correct it and try to import Tigra Menu again."

Hmmma?? demo pages straight off the website with ill-suited documentation; error-prone script files that wona??t import into Menu Builder despite marketing claims to the contrary; and on top of that I get to find and fix the errors (that shouldna??t have been there in the first place) all by myselfa?? and all for only $49?

Gee, what a deal. [laugh]

In a nutshell (an appropriate container), I'm baffled that Menu Builder is such a straight-ahead, intuitive product (and free) and then when I try to find information/answers/solutions to how (if at all) Menu Builder and Menu Gold relate to each other, it's like walking into a house of mirrors.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Menu Builder and Menu Gold

Did you ever get a reply to this? I bought Gold yesterday, couldn't find an installation file or executable so went looking for answers. I just now found your question and I'm baffled also. I sure wish I had seen your message before I purchased.

add another to the group as i am stumped lol

I could program the freeware version with no drama at all but gold is really taking too much time for me to learn and i can't work out how to enable it in the builder either.

I sent an email to support line about 2 or 3 hours ago, if i get a helpfull responce ill post it here.

Got a responce from the email:

"Thank You for your interest to products of SoftComplex!
Currently Tigra Menu GOLD mode is not supported in the menu
builder. If you find it difficult to adjust Tigra Menu GOLD
configuration manually then use menu builder and send us the result,
we'll migrate the menu to Tigra Menu GOLD for you at no additional
cost."

Guess they are still implementing the menu builder with the PRO and GOLD edition.
