Form Validator submits even though it sees a problem with hidden and disabled fields

I'm having a problem where a page I've included Tigra Form Validator on.

Tigra Validator sees that the form has a problem (it gives a popup that the field is required, etc.).

When I close the pop-up, the form submits anyway... why would this happen? Strangely, I've confirmed that if I remove a certain field from the page it works correctly.

It seems to only happen with hidden and disabled fields.
