Initial Login for Control Panel
what are default login and pass for the control panel when its first installed?

I had the same problem. When I deleted the files as per the install.php page it worked.
../php_event_calendar/index.php
is what you need to get started. At the botom of the page it tells you the initial logon,
login: admin
password: demo
