need onmouseover help

Hi Y'all,

I am trying to implement an onmouseover within the scroller, supposed to trigger an event on the parent page. I tried all kinds of tricks, but the scroller just disappears from the parent page. Can someone lend a hand here?

Thanks,

Ed

Rock,

Thanks for helping me out.

Here's the "content" part of scrolltpl0.js:

// direct content
'content' : '<a href="http://www.sundownertrailer.com" target="_parent" onmouseover="parent.document.images[5].src='pics/sundowner.gif'; return true;"onmouseout="parent.document.images[5].src='pics/purplebar.gif'; return true;"><img src="s0_data/sd.gif" height="73" width="130" border="0"></a>'
'pause_b' : 0,
'pause_a' : 0
}
]

As you can see, I'm trying to switch an image on the parent page on mouseover.

Please try the following :
{
// direct content
'content' : '<a href="http://www.sundownertrailer.com" target="_parent" onmouseover="parent.document.images[5].src='pics/sundowner.gif'; return true;"onmouseout="parent.document.images[5].src='pics/purplebar.gif'; return true;"><img src="s0_data/sd.gif" height="73" width="130" border="0"></a>',
'pause_b' : 0,
'pause_a' : 0
}

I tried that but it does not work. I get 3 different error messages that refer to the scroll.htm page. I tried to attach them to this post but it does not seem to work.

Please refer to our Customer Care System. You can post reproducible sample there.

I sent three attachements through the customer care system but it looks like it did not work either. When I hit submit I only got a blank screen.

BTW, you might want to check the link in your last post. It works only when appropriately edited.

Rock,

Here's the text of the three consecutive error windows that pop up:

1st IE script error

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Line: 28
Char: 119
Error: Expected '}'
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\.......\ts_files\scroll.html

2nd IE script error

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Line: 30
Char: 1
Error: 'BEHAVE' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\.......\ts_files\scroll.html

3rd IE script error

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Line: 82
Char: 2
Error: 'main' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\.......\ts_files\scroll.html

It seems you didn't define scrollers template variable properly. As you can see you've missed '}' sign and other errors is sequent of the first one. Please inspect your scroller's tpl.js file or attach it here for investigation.

Here's the tpl.js file:

var LOOK = {
// scroller box size: [width, height]
'size': [552, 83]
},

BEHAVE = {
// autoscroll - true, on-demand - false
'auto': true,
// vertical - false, horizontal - true
'horizontal': true,
// scrolling speed, pixels per 40 milliseconds;
// for auto mode use negative value to reverse scrolling direction
'speed': 2
},

// a data to build scroll window content
ITEMS = [
{ // file to get content for item from; if is set 'content' property doesn't matter
// only body of HTML document is taken to become scroller item content
// note: external files require time for loading
// it is RECOMMENDED to use content property to speed loading up
// please, DON'T forget to set ALL IMAGE SIZES
// in either external file or in 'content' string for scroller script
// to be able to estimate item sizes
'file' : '',
// direct content
'content' : '<a href="http://www.sundownertrailer.com" target="_parent"><img src="s0_data/sd.gif" height="73" width="130" border="0"></a>&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img2.jpg" height="73" width="97">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img3.jpg" height="73" width="97">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img4.jpg" height="73" width="98">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img5.jpg" height="73" width="95">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img6.jpg" height="73" width="98">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img7.jpg" height="73" width="98">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img8.jpg" height="73" width="98">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img9.jpg" height="73" width="94">&nbsp;<img src="s0_data/img10.jpg" height="73" width="98">&nbsp;',
'pause_b' : 0,
'pause_a' : 0
}
]

Rock,

The 3 error messages that I posted a while ago refer to the scroll.html page. Shouldn't we be looking into that file?

If you didn't modify the file, its not necessary.
