Relative Positioning - window resized

I have TigraMenu gold and when I create a relative positioned menu it works fine....until the window is resized in the browser then the submenus "shift" up and over. This occurs on IE for Mac, have not tested on other browsers yet.

Is this due to where in the page the menu is positioned?

It is positioned with the content of a table cell, meaning that there are <p> tags before and after with other text and images.

In addition, I thought that if the block_left, block_top is set to "0" for a sub level it would not be offset.

It is. I have to put in negative offsets in these values to align the menus. This seems to be linked to the display shift since when the window is resized the sub level menu items seem to be "repositioned" at the location set in the block_ offsets.

css with clear:both; definition causes problem

Solved the problem!

This may be of help for others so I will tell what happened.

I had a layout that required a complex style (not part of the menu). Occasionally this style appeared next to a left or right aligned image or table. To avoid having this css style "run through" the aligned object I had set "clear:both;" in the style definition. This forced it to break on a new line.....uh.... but....

it also forced the initial loading of the page to "push" the menu out of place....

So remember! Don't put any styles with "clear:both;" above or below a relative positioned menu. At least that has been my experience today.

Hope this is of some help to others.
