Problems with Calendar on IE4

On using the calendar in IE4 browser, I find that for the current month I can select the date. But if I scroll back to say, October and select a date, the calendar control automatically jumps to the next month i.e November. I have to then scroll back to go to October again. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Any help is appreciated.
