Permission Problem - I cannot install php Calendar

I tried every possible permission to the phpcalendar directory bu tI came to a dead end...

I cannot figure out what's wrong with my paths. I keep receiving the error:

Can not create any files in /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/carismachurch.com/httpdocs/phpcalendar/cl_files/data/ directory. Please set 0775 permission on /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/carismachurch.com/httpdocs/phpcalendar/cl_files/data/ directory. Please check permission and try again.

I check the permissions to 775 but I continue to receive always the same error.

Any ideas?

It's installed

I installed PHP Events at http://www.carismachurch.com

I steel need to understand a few issues, like I wanted to be able to display a list of monthly events...I will play around to find an answer. Thank you for your support!

775 Install issue

Hello,

Can you post the fix for this? I don't give out login info for my server, so I need this fix posted here, as I have the same issue.

Me too... Can't the 'errors' be made public so we can install the calendar ourselves?

Hello,

I noticed that I have yet to get a reply. Does this mean you aren't going to answer me? Or, does it me that I'd have to surrender my server login to get help with this? Customer support 101: Bad news in better than no news. Please let me know where I sit and if your going to support you application.

You should try to set permissions to 0777 for data, img and cl_files directories. Then try to install calendar. If everything is ok you should change permission to 0775 for cl_files directory and if you aren't going to change arrow images you should also set 0775 permissions for img directory.

I have to manually change permissions on the web server in order to install. I have to manually change the directories to "777" permissions and some of the data files to the satanic "666" permission. I'm a little uneasy with that lack of security, but that's what makes the installer work.
