Table Filtering.

I am rather new to this tool and am wondering if anyone knows how I can modify the filtering. I want the type of filtering from the demo2 but I DON'T want the "as substring" ect. I just want the "use" and the column names to choose from and then be able to apply the "substring case ins." filter.

I am having difficulty editing the javascript file as its rather cryptic and I am not a js guru. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

filters are controlled in template.js via 'filter' 'type' key. Here is the fragment from that file:

'filter' : {
// filter 0 - off, 1 - substring, 2 - match, 4 - regexp filter, 8 - substring case insensitive (e.g. 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 means all filters on)
'type' : 15,

If you need just canse insensitive then set
'filter' : {
'type' : 8,

Sweet...that seems simple enough. How do I remove the drop down from the script? Whenever I tried to remove the code that built the dropdown my table would not display.

Thanks Much!

I've just replaced 15 with 8 in filter type of demo2 and the selectbox is gone.
You can additionally customize the appearance of filter (i.e. types of the controls etc) by using external form for that (see the documentation and samples for that).
