Problem: The icon in IE 6 is never put in cache!

The side effect of this is when i click on a folder, it open it's is leaf and load the icon one after the order...

in Firefox, everything is normal, the icon is in cache and the tree is displayed fast (we did'nt see the icon load)

I have tried every ie cache setting, but it did not work! I have tried trhoug a web server and direct on my local file, didn't work either...

Someone have the answer to this?

I have check what is happening behind with this Http Sniffer:
www.ieinspector.com/

The server was sending the no-cache header in the response. It is suppose to mean to not cache in the long run, but the browser is suppose to cache it for the session to not request 10000 time the same gif on one page. But IE have a bug on this.

And as explained on this page:
www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg151294.html

I am using a securise tomcat webapps, so by default Tomcat send the no-cache on securise ressource.

I have disable this option with that in my context.xml:
<Valve className="org.apache.catalina.authenticator.BasicAuthenticator" disableProxyCaching="false" />

So it was on my side!

It have nothing to do with your fast, small and well designed Tigra Tree!

Good work and thank again for your time!
