don't remember tree state

Is there a possibilty to NOT remember the tree state. Everytime I load a tree it remembers which items are (not) opened. I don't want this. I tried set the cookie to

exp.setTime(exp.getTime() + (0/*years*/ * 365/*days*/ * 24/*hours*/ * 60/*minutes*/ * 60/*seconds*/ *1000/*milliseconds*/)); //

so the actual time is set to the lifetime of the cookie, but he still remembers it. Any solutions?

Gr,

Try
exp.setTime(exp.getTime() - (1/*years*/ * 365/*days*/ * 24/*hours*/ * 60/*minutes*/ * 60/*seconds*/ *1000/*milliseconds*/)); // ~1 year ago
