Unnecessary scrollbars in frame
markymark - 11/11/2008 at 02:39 PM

I have a frameset (top, left, right) with the tree (PRO version) in the left frame. This frame has a width of 180px.

When I have the tree collapsed, no scrollbar is shown in the frame as there is enough space.
When I expand the tree just one node (doesn't mind which one), both scrollbars (horizontal and vertical) are shown.
Actually, the frame wouldn't need to show the vertical scrollbar, as there is enough space left downwards. Showing the horizontal scrollbar is ok, as the text of the tree nodes is more than 180px wide.

But I don't want the frame to show the vertical scrollbar. I tried setting the frame attributes "scrolling=no" and changing the styles of the tree, but nothing worked. It looks like the tree forces all scrollbars to show as soon as a node is opened.

How can I stop the vertical scrollbar from showing?

this doesn't happen with the samples in the distribution package. this may be something specific with your page/css.
