Can't get events to display either. Shucks!
Psalm 103 - 12/23/2004 at 10:13 AM

My calendar is:

www.bishopbyrne.org/calendartest.php

No event shows up when I click it.

Other dilemmas:
I have specified the type for "December" to be bold but it isn't. In other words, the "Ccur" and "Cheader" dont seem to be working (somewhat).

If I put the events on the same page it will throw everything to the right.

Psalm 103 - 12/24/2004 at 05:16 AM

Got it figured out.

How do I customize the size of the month calendar? Helloooooo? :)

tp215a - 12/24/2004 at 07:23 AM

You can "adjust the size" of the calendar by placing your code into a "table":

<table>
<tr>
<td style="border-width:1;border-style:solid;
border-color:black;color:white;">
<?
error_reporting (E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);
extract($HTTP_POST_VARS);
extract($HTTP_GET_VARS);
include '/calendar/cl_files/calendar.php';
new calendar('your calendar name');
$calendar->init('your calendar name');
?>
</td>
<td background="assets/back.jpg" valign="top">
<?
$calendar->show_event($CLd,$CLm,$CLy,'your calendar name');
?>
</td>
<tr>
</table>

Psalm 103 - 12/24/2004 at 07:25 AM

Thanks a lot, man.

I'll try that!

tp215a - 12/24/2004 at 07:42 AM

You are welcome!! Hope it helps...

Psalm 103 - 12/24/2004 at 08:33 AM

Didn't work.

Especially on the show event string.

tp215a - 12/24/2004 at 02:46 PM

the show event string...

In the "Calendars Config" section:
Open event list at URL: events.php?CLd=%d&CLm=%m&CLy=%y

Open event list target: _self

The table resizing...
do not forget to add the size for the table

width="200"

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 12:42 AM

Now the date doesn't want to show up on the events page, plus I've tried to change the format of the date from "18 Dec 2004" to "Dec 18, 2004".

Not only that, the date doesn't change over from Dec. to Jan. in the December month! Ugh! :)

tp215a - 12/25/2004 at 01:21 AM

sent u a "u2u" message... it looks as if your "time zone" is incorrect...

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 01:36 AM

How do you know my time zone is off??

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 01:38 AM

Fixed it. It better not mess up again! :-)

Now. The $date string in the events listing doesn't work, and I've changed the format in calendar.php to reflect the change.

tp215a - 12/25/2004 at 01:39 AM

That is something that I have been trying to figure out also! Please let me know if you figure it out and I will do the same...

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 01:46 AM

I dont understand why in the December calendar, January 1 = December 1??

:-) :-) :-) ?????

tp215a - 12/25/2004 at 01:59 AM

I am unsure how you fixed the "time zone" issue, but my suggestions would be to delete the calendar and recreate it.
BEFORE you delete, however, do the following:
Please write in line 172 calendar.php file (in function drop) the following:
global $db;

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 03:47 AM

Why on earth would I do that?

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 03:48 AM

I got the date to work in the event listing. I'm not sure how. I believe I changed around the "d M, y" in the get_date or make_date function.

tp215a - 12/25/2004 at 03:55 AM

Thank you, I figured it out ...
I added $date in the "event listing" and it showed up..

Another interesting thing happens when I update using the "templates config" via the control panel... my "time zone" is set back to its original deliver time zone: Afghanistan... just an fyi

tp215a - 12/25/2004 at 04:07 AM

To change the $date:

in calendar.php:

show_event function ...

change 'd M,Y' in the following string to print out whatever format you want...

if you put 'F d, Y' your output will look like: December 25, 2004

$head = str_replace('$date', date ('d M, Y',mktime(0,0,0,$this->a_selected_date['m'],$this->a_selected_date['d'],$this->a_selected_date['y'])), $head);

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 04:50 AM

I got that event listing figured out. Thanks a lot.

I agree with you on the time zone thing - its best to stay at the original zone.

Now I'm trying to figure out (still) how to get the months to work. They work in the demo months. When someone is in December 2004 and they click on January 1, 2005, it goes back to December 1, 2004.

BTPlus - 12/25/2004 at 01:12 PM

You must have gotten the months thing fixed? I didn't have the problems you talked about.

Psalm 103 - 12/25/2004 at 08:01 PM

No. I didn't. That's the only thing left to figure out.

The months are still acting up (on the month calendar). How did you get yours to work?

How'd you get the Classes to work in the config do you could change the "Ccur" and "Cheader" and have them work?

Where are these style settings stored? I've changed font color in the two files I saw these CSS classes in and neither do anything to the actual calendar font colors.
