Include events on same page as the calendar
greg2229 - 10/30/2004 at 06:06 PM

What is the correct coding to display an event details on the same page as the calendar? The documentation is very hard to understand, and I don't know PHP very well.

My calendar is located at:
http://www.creeksideband.com/calendar_display.php

When I click on a date that has an event, I get:
http://www.creeksideband.com/_blank?CLm=10&CLd=30&CLy=2004&c_num=band_test

Obviously I'm missing something, please help.

I think you can do it by changing the cl_files/data/config_def.php file. At the top of the page, change:

redirect_url'=>'_blank',
'redirect_target'=>'show.php'

to:

'redirect_url'=>'show.php',
'redirect_target'=>'_self'

(the redirect_url and redirect_target seem to come in the wrong order anyway.) This will only work for a new calendar that you create after you've made this change. You will have to change the template though so show.php will look like the rest of your site.
I think :)

That didn't work either. What directory should show.php be in? Would it help if the full path was included in the redirect_target command?

Ok yes, the proper path relative to where the page lives where your calendar shows itself would be the go I guess. So if your calendar page lives in www.yoursite.com/mypages, then make the path path/to/show.php. I'm only guessing, no expert on this application...

try:

'redirect_url'=>'nameofpageyourcalendarisviewedon',
'redirect_target='_self'
