you can specify the target in items.js
['text', 'link.html', {'tw':'frameName'}]

that's what I have done before - and was working good

what if you want to open a new window in the same window (targetting) within the same frames-structure of 7 frames, and replace 3 frames (not 1 as your reaction)?

You'll need to reload top level document to change the frames configuration. Make sure to supply the Tigra Menu GOLD instance in the master frame with new frames configuration structure.

do you have an example of this?

We don't have a sample for the case like you described. Shortly, you'll need to redirect the browser to different top level document with new frameset. The documents in individual frames can be the same as in the original framset except for the document with the master copy of the menu (because it must have different frames configuration structure).
