can not link some text in submenus seperately
irfan_uygur - 2/25/2004 at 04:30 PM

Hi,
I am a registered user of Tigra Menu Gold.
Although I have searched this forum and the documentation that came with the product I could not solve my problem:
What I want to do is to have a link in a submenu so that visitors can click the link in the submenu. In the current situation I can only give link to the whole sub-menu but what I would like to do is only to have the link in the submenu act as a link, now the whole submenu behaves as a link [themouse pointer shifts to hand symbol over the whole submenu]. Another interesting thing is although I have not specified links in the submenus in "items.js" [specified them as null] all the mouse changes in submenus to a hand symbol [although there is no

cursor:hand;

property set in the .CSS file. But I just want to shown the submenus because the DHTML windows are used for short FAQ information not as a navigation/menu system in the site.

Here are my menu configuration files :

ITEMS.JS [trimmed text for easier reading]

Well is there a way that I can get support for this problem from the forum here ?
Pls tell me if I was not clear in explaining my problem, I tried to provide every detail...
Or should I mail/re-direct my question to "support[at]softcomplex[dot]com" as the product is registered and I am not using a free version ?

Thanks in advance....

Tigra Menu PRO and Tigra Menu GOLD use anchor tag <a> not just as a way to link pages to menu items, but also as a way to receive mouse events in all supported browsers. In some older browsers anchor is the only tag that generates mouse events, so it is used for all items including those with no document linked.

In future version we'll consider changing cursor property for the anchor tag if associated item has no document linked. This feature will work in newer browsers (those supporting cursor tag).
