Error adding Calendar to my *.asp page
tryntolearn - 8/2/2005 at 03:53 PM

I came accross your great looking calendar so I'm trying to put it into an asp page. I've followed directions and searched through the forums to get the calendar to display but no luck. Basically, when I select the calendar icon I see an error message on the task bar: "Error on Page". It's trying to run: javascript:cal5.popup();

calendar*.js, calendar.html, img folder etc, are in located in the same folder as CalendarTest.asp.

Can you help me get this working? I'm a bit new to web coding..

Thanks!

Here is my entire 'CalendarTest.asp' page:

<html>
<head>
<script language="JavaScript" src="calendar2.js"></script>
</head>
<body>

<form name="frmDate">
<input name="DateEntry" type="text" >
<a href="javascript:cal5.popup();">
<img src="img/cal.gif" width="16" height="16" border="0" alt="Click Here to Pick up the date"></a>
Select Date
</form>

<script language="javascript">
var cal1 = new calendar2(document.forms['frmDate'].elements['DateEntry']);
</script>

</body>
</html>

I found an example that worked. This is the entire page of code, looks nice.

<html>
<head>

<script language="JavaScript" src="calendar1.js"></script><!-- Date only with year scrolling -->

</head>

<form name="frmDate">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="#ffffff" valign="top">
Select Date:<br>
<input type="Text" name="DateEntry" value="">
<a href="javascript:cal1.popup();"><img src="img/cal.gif" width="16" height="16" border="0" alt="Click Here to Pick up the date"></a><br>
</td>
</tr>
</form>
<script language="JavaScript">
var cal1 = new calendar1(document.forms['frmDate'].elements['DateEntry']);
cal1.year_scroll = true;

</script>

</body>
</html>
